It’s super easy to order with us:
Click on our custom orders or the menu orders tab: you'll find this on the top, right hand corner.
Fill out the form: Complete the form with your details.
Quotation & Confirmation: Once we get your order form, we’ll email you a quotation/invoice. Please allow up to 3 days for quotations.
Payment: You can pay via EFT , banking details are found on your quotation/Invoice. Menu orders require full payment where as an 80% deposit is required for custom orders and must be paid 7 days before collection date to confirm your order.
Collection: After we confirm your payment, We’ll send you the address for collection with collection and storage instructions.
What are our Payment Terms?
- Menu Orders must be paid in full to confirm the order.
-A 80% deposit is required to confirm your custom order. This must be paid via payment link at least 7 days before the collection date.
-Orders not confirmed by the due date may be cancelled without notice.
-The remaining 20% balance must be paid in full on collection, using cash or our card machine only.
-Cakes/ baked items will not leave the premises without full payment.
Do we replicate photos of other cakes?
-Reference photos are used for inspiration only. Due to copyright restrictions and the unique style of each cake artist, exact replicas are not possible.
-Final designs may vary in colour, detail, or structure. Creative discretion is used, and by placing an order, the client accepts that variations are to be expected.
How do we handle Cancellations?
-Cancellations made within 7 days of the collection date will result in the loss of the 80% deposit, as ingredients and decorations will have been purchased and prep work started.
Do we offer delivery?
-Jelly Bean’s Cakery does not offer delivery. All cakes must be collected at the agreed time and location.
How do we handle collections?
-Cakes are photographed before handover.
-By collecting the cake, the client confirms that they are satisfied with the condition and design.
-Jelly Bean’s Cakery is not liable for any damage that occurs after collection or due to incorrect transport or storage.
How do we handle Quality Concerns & Refunds?
-If you believe there is a quality issue, at least 50% of the cake must be returned within 24 hours for assessment.
-If a genuine quality issue is confirmed, a refund of up to 50% may be issued at the discretion of the baker.
-Refunds will not be issued based on personal taste preferences or if care instructions were not followed.
We’re not currently offering vegan or gluten-free options, so all our cakes and cupcakes are made with traditional ingredients. Please keep that in mind when ordering!
We get it—plans change! If you need to cancel, here’s what you need to know:
Cancel 7 days ahead, and you’ll get a full refund.
Cancelations made with less than 7 days ahead will not be eligible for a refund as ingrediants and decorations will have already been purchased for your custom order.
Just be sure to give us as much notice as possible so we can process your cancellation!
To keep your treats fresh:
Room Temperature: Cakes and cupcakes with buttercream frosting are good to stay at room temperature except during the Hot South African summer months. Cakes and Cupcakes should then be refrigerated until 30 minutes before serving time.
Refrigeration: If your cake has dairy-based fillings or frosting, pop it in the fridge.
Avoid Freezing: For the best taste and texture, we recommend enjoying your goodies within a few days after pickup.
At the moment, we don’t offer cake tastings.
Allergies & Ingredients Disclaimer for normal and custom orders
-All cakes are made in a home kitchen that handles common allergens, including but not limited to wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, and nuts. While every effort is made to prevent cross-contamination, Jelly Bean’s Cakery cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens.
-It is the client’s responsibility to inform guests of any allergens. Jelly Bean’s Cakery will not be held liable for any allergic reactions or health issues resulting from the consumption of our products.
By paying the deposit and/or full amount, you agree to our terms and conditions.
